The UK Government has announced EU artists will need a visa to perform in the UK from 2021
Artists from the EU will need to apply for a visa costing £244 from 2021 to be allowed to perform in the UK and will also need to prove they have at least £1,000 in savings.
These new rules for artists will come into effect once the Brexit transition period comes to an end in December 2020!
The Musicians’ Union who represents over 30,000 artists has started a petition calling on the Government to back a Musicians’ passport for musicians working in the EU post-Brexit, click here to sign
I will keep you all up to date as this unfolds and I really hope that something can be done to stop this or we may see the EU setting similar restrictions for UK artists.
