Spotify has revealed plans to start charging labels and artists for advertising services

Spotify have revealed plans to start charging labels and artists to purchase adverts in a bid to raise revenue, the popular music app has already started a service called ‘Marquee‘ which allows labels and artists to send notifications to fans when new music is released costing up to $5000.

As reported by Bloomberg, Spotify is discussing plans to begin charging artists to access their listeners data and are set to offer more advertising services but possibly at a higher price than the current service ‘Marquee‘.
