The Rainbow Venues – Birmingham

I took a trip to Birmingham in the UK to visit The Rainbow Venues bank holiday Sunday and the event was on point!

The Rainbow Venues are made up of an outdoor area that hosts summer events between railway arches and an inside warehouse/terrace that is mere seconds away from each other!

I attended Portal by night which took place in The Rainbow Warehouse and I have to say I felt like I was in an underground bunker (Heaven) the moment I walked into the room they call the ‘Blackbox’.

When I arrived at the ‘Blackbox’ about 12 a.m., it was already very crowded, and the techno music was in full swing, with everyone loving the sounds and sensations!

I decided to grab a Vodka & Lemonade and head towards the stairs to find the ‘Terrace’ where I wanted to catch tINI b2b with Bill Patrick from 1am and I was not disappointed the terrace had a beautiful summer vibe going on with the decor and the amazing soundsytem set-up.

As I headed straight to the front tINI was already throwing her vinyl down ready to take the terrace up a level. This continued until 4am with tINI and Bill Patrick going 1 track each and taking the terrace on a journey, from house to techno! My fave set of the night full of energy and the crowd were loving it!

tINI in the mix!

After this, I headed back to the ‘Blackbox’ to catch the last 30 minutes of German DJ/Producer ‘Butch’ who was fully into the mix with his dark techno sounds! The ravers were loving it, add the lasers and it was a very trippy experience!

The Experience

Overall I have to say The Rainbow Warehouse/Portal team did a fantastic job and pulled off a great night with no trouble, a great atmosphere and of course amazing music.

Check out some of the upcoming events planned with Jamie Jones, Chris Leibing, Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers plus more at The Rainbow Warehouse; Tickets via Skiddle.
