All proceeds will go to charities that support Iranian women
Apranik Records has just released a new digital album featuring music by Iranian women artists only.
‘Women, Life, Freedom’ has 12 original tracks spanning ambient, breaks, electro, experimental and techno genres. The contributing artists include SaeeSew, Sharona Lico, Meshcut, Kimia Koochakzadeh, as well as label owners AIDA and Nesa Azadikhah, who also founded Deep House Tehran.
“Woman, Life, Freedom” is the slogan for the current movement in Iran and across the world, which began after the murder of 22-year-old Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini, by the country’s morality police on 16th September 2022.
This compilation aims to raise awareness of the suffering of women in their home country and is dedicated to the Iranian people’s recent revolt.
