Mixcloud Basic Tier Change 2022
The new changes will be challenging for many artists

Mixcloud announced last week the platform is currently not profitable and some changes will take place on the 1st December 2022.

Nico Perez, Mixcloud CEO and co-founder, released a video explaining the changes and how users might be affected.

Overview

‘From December 1st, we’re introducing a maximum allowance of 10 published shows for creators on the basic tier.

No shows or tracks will be deleted from your channel. They will all remain published and available to your listeners.’

The pro premium subscription was introduced back in 2019 which changed some of the basic tier features, however this new update will limit users even further.

To break it down, if you are on the basic free tier, you are only allowed to have 10 published shows, which means that if you want to upload a new show or track, you must be on the Pro paid tier.

If you want to upgrade, the Pro tier is currently 70% off for three months; click here to find out more.
