A new label with a big first release
Azure and Dubplate Pressure have teamed up for the first vinyl release on Move2 Records, ‘MOVE2-001‘.
The EP opens with Azure’s “Maximum”, a high-energy track with a driving beat and vocals. Lui Mill’s flow adds an extra layer of depth to the track, completing this A1. ‘Where I Lay’ is a more laid-back track, with a smooth vocal melody and a soulful piano riff. This A2 is perfect for those moments when you want to take a break from the party and just relax.
The A-side finishes with a dub version of “Maximum” which is a stripped-back version of the track that focuses on the bassline and the drums. The perfect tune for DJs who want to add some extra energy to their sets.
The B-side of the EP features 3 tracks from Dubplate Pressure. ‘Worries In The Dance’ (Remix) is a rework of a classic Jungle track, with a UK Garage twist. ‘Ain’t Nobody’ features a catchy vocal hook with a solid bassline. The B3 ‘Lickwood’ rounds off the EP with a female vocal, bassline and a nice rhythm.
I normally choose the B-side tracks but I cannot pick a favourite on this new EP.
Overall, a solid release showcasing the best of Auzre & Dubplate Pressure with energetic, well-produced tracks. A mus-have order for UK Garage heads.
